How did you hear about our Centre?

Early Years Leader

What was the focus of your visit:

To learn new & creative ways to engage children and allow/facilitate them to reach their potential.

These are their thoughts about our work:

  • Fantastic learning environment to encourage growth and develop young minds
  • A vast variety of areas to explore and learn especially in the outdoor learning area

This is how they will use what they saw:

  • Set up areas similarly if possible e.g. wildlife area, music, dance.
  • Use natural materials and realistic objects wherever possible. (Not to overestimate young children)

How did you hear about our Centre?

Through colleagues at my place of work

What was the focus of your visit:

To see other ways/ideas that we can learn from with resources, ways of teaching through play and can take this back to my setting.

These are their thoughts about our work:

I absolutely love how the use of space has been used with lots of natural wood. The ideas have also been good to see of how simple things can be turned and used to create effective teaching and play.

This is how they will use what they saw:

I will like to try out some things in  my own setting, such as the stories children make up from looking at pictures. Also some resources we can try to purchase.

To look at the provision for 2 year olds.

What a great Nursery-Superb outdoor space. This has been the best Nursery we have visited so far!

Planning, assessment, observations. Get an idea from other nursery and have discussions with professionals.

Very inspirational! The children are very much at the centre of everything you do. Parents voice is also encouraged greatly.

Great use of space, encourage independence, great provision, good use of interest and safety.

Even though we had a short visit, we were shown around and saw a lot of details and questions were well answered and everybody was friendly.

Very impressed with the outdoor environment/spectrum of care/facilities which are provided for the local community.

I have taken some ideas away which I would like to incorporate into the outside environment at our setting: woodwork area/mud kitchen/sheds in each area.

Learning environment and ideas to help engage, stimulate to the outdoors.

These are their thoughts about our work:

Very impressive-the resources and how the space has been used and planned for both Fawood and Curzon Nursery.

This is how they will use what they saw:

I will take some of the ideas and adapt them for our school as we expect from 2 form entry to 4 term entry.

Some fabulous ideas such as the dance studio, herb area near mud kitchen, woodwork area etc. I have taken lots of photographs and main question asked is where do you get this?! Thank you to Lorraine and Jackie for taking the time to show us around and being so welcoming.

Through a colleague of mine who is our School’s EYFS Leader.

What was the focus of your visit:

We are taking a 4th Reception class this year and likely to expand to 4FE. We are looking for inspiration.

These are their thoughts about our work:

I think that you have created a wonderful learning environment. There are so many great areas to explore and the children are looked so engrossed in their play and learning.

We have lots of good ideas for how to develop our outside areas and ways of maximising space in classrooms.
